Biography:

Mrs. Ward is a 2nd year Visual Arts teacher here at TCEA. She’s originally from Syracuse, NY where she was a self employed artist for over 10 years. The Decorative Paintbrush was developed when Mrs. Ward started creating functional pieces of art from recycled furniture. In her studio during the day she created whimsical pieces, while she taught individuals to paint at night via PaintNite Syracuse. She also taught furniture painting at Clear Path for Veterans through her program The Restoration Project. Her earliest memories are collecting things she made into art projects, collaging her bedroom walls in Tiger Beat magazine pictures and creating well decorated clubhouses out of refrigerator boxes. “For as long as I can remember art has been a part of my life”, she states. Or like Yoko Ono says, “Art is like breathing”. She is passionate about helping others find their creative spark.”

Mrs. Ward lives in Fayetteville, North Carolina with her husband and their French Bull dog named Mugs. She loves spending time with her 3 children but most of all loves being Lollie to a little guy named Liam.
