Dr. Tremaine Canteen is an award-winning leader in education who resides in Fayetteville, North Carolina with her son. Dr. Canteen has served as a mentor, teacher, services coordinator, instructional leader, athletic director, and administrator. Dr. Canteen has worked diligently over the past 15 years to decrease the high school dropout rate, enhance the educational experience for male students, and to ensure equal educational opportunities are afforded to all students. As a staple in education, Dr. Canteen was selected to serve as the Teacher of the Year in 2007 and 2012. She’s Cumberland County School’s reigning Middle School Assistant Principal of the Year. In addition, she was selected for Cumberland County’s 2019 Class of 40 under 40 for her tireless services to the community.
