With 5 years of experience as an arts educator, Mrs. Trish Brownlee has been with TCEA since it opened its doors in 2014 as the visual arts teacher, and assisting in other roles over the years as needed. In addition to teaching the visual art program, Mrs. Brownlee serves as the school’s facilitator for the arts integration program, chair for the arts team, assists with the Encore Kids College enrichment program, leads the student Chameleon Collective club and assists the school with aspects of community outreach and social media. Along with Mr. Falls, Mrs. Brownlee is a North Carolina Museum of Art Fellow, in the Collaborative Teaching Fellowship program for the 2017-2018 school year.

Prior to 2012, Mrs. Brownlee spent eight years serving the military and civil service as a photographer, while pursuing her education in the fine arts and graphic design. Mrs. Brownlee is a professional, exhibiting artist, a published photographer, and advocate in the local arts community. She works in mixed media, to include printmaking, papermaking, photography, painting and assemblage. She is a 2012-2013 and 2015-2016 recipient of the Regional Artist Grant from the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County. She enjoys traveling, music, motorcycles, horseback riding, advocacy and volunteering, collecting random broken objects and empty containers, and cherishes quality time with her family.
