Biography:
Mrs. Menchaca, formally know as Ms. Brown to most students, is currently starting her 3rd year of teaching. She has spent all 3 years of her teaching at TCEA. For her education, she first attended Fayetteville Technical Community College for two years and received her associates degree. From FTCC she transferred to The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
She graduated from UNCP with her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in mathematics in December of 2017. Go Braves!! Mrs. Menchaca is newly married and loves to spend time with her husband and dog. When she is not at school you can catch her at the local coffee shops and shopping at TJ Maxx and Target. She has lived in Fayetteville, NC her whole life and is very close to her family and friends. She has a heart for her community and is heavily involved in her church, First Church Fayetteville. She has always had a passion for kids / students and she knew going into college that she wanted a career where she was surrounded by kids and where she could make a difference. She chose the career path of teaching and never looked back. She is the first educator her family. She has a passion for the arts and that is one reason that she was drawn to TCEA. As a teacher it is important to her to make connections with you and your child. Mrs. Menchaca is here to do the absolute very best she can to help your child learn and grow. Along with that, she aims to create a safe, positive and nurturing environment in the classroom. Let’s have a great school year!
